Hogmanay

With Hogmanay fast approaching, we watch one year pass to the next with a celebration of everything Scotland! Revel in this country's wild landscapes - rain-soaked mountains, roughened coastlines and far-flung islands - or take in more familiar sights of the bustling stone metropolis. We have everything from Powell and Pressburger's I Know Where I'm Going! set on the Isle of Mull and Bill Forsyth's typically humorous, reflective and alternative look on the Glasgow Ice Cream Wars in Comfort and Joy, to 2018's Wild Rose, featuring brilliant original music and potential Academy Award for Best Actress frontrunner this year Jessie Buckley, and The Illusionist, bringing an air of familiarity with its cartoon depiction of Edinburgh's streets.

Have a very Happy Hogmanay from everyone here at Filmhouse. As always, our New Year's resolution for 2026 is to continue to bring you the best cinema, and, as ever, we know that we'll deliver.

Book tickets for two or more of our Hogmanay films to receive a discount! Tickets can also be bought separately.
