Despite this, he tries to win the affections of his beautiful colleague Carla by crafting a bust of her. Being clumsy as he is though, in the process he ends up killing his landlady's cat - armed with the crafting supplies and in a mad panic, he conceals the body under plaster. Unexpectedly, Carla and her friends gush over the resulting "artwork", so Walter sets out to make some bigger, better, and more intricate pieces, using the same process...</div><div><br></div><div><i>A Bucket of Blood</i> is legendary horror director Roger Corman's first foray into comedy, and the first of three collaborations with writer Charles B. Griffith - including <i>The Little Shop of Horrors</i> which was shot on the same sets as <i>A Bucket of Blood</i>. Griffith had to talk Corman into taking a stab at the genre, as the director claimed that <i>"you have to be good. We don't have the time or money to be good, so we stick to action"</i> - the writer convinced him otherwise by succinctly pointing out that given the film's incredibly low budget and tight shooting schedule, there's no way that they couldn't make money from it!</div>ComedyPT1H6M152026-10-20USenDick Miller
