Best of the Fest: Edinburgh Short Film Festival

This screening will be introduced by Edinburgh Short Film Festival director Paul Bruce. The Edinburgh Short Film Festival is excited to finally be able to return to the Filmhouse after three years, and we’re looking forward to once again projecting some fine short films to their discerning audiences! Best of Fest is a one-off programme of some of our best films from our 2024 edition. Including our award winners from three categories. There’s some Oscar-nominated Dutch stop-motion, award-winning Spanish fantasy-drama, a Sundance-nominated Austrian punk romantic comedy. There’s also a Finnish experimental film fresh from Tribeca and Vancouver, as well as our Best Scottish film award winner, period drama Broono and a batch of outstanding Scottish shorts from last year, including Martin Lennon’s The Buurds, a staff pick and Blair Stewart’s moving documentary Stephen & David's Toy Cupboard.
