Taking place over the course of one night in Sardi's bar - March 31, 1943 to be exact - renowned lyricist Lorenz Hart (a transformed Ethan Hawke) faces up to his crushed self-esteem after leaving the opening performance of former creative partner Richard Rodgers' (Andrew Scott) innovative smash hit musical <i>Oklahoma!</i>.
