De Gaulle: Résistance
<div>Following the capitulation of France in June, 1940, an armistice is signed with Nazi Germany. In the ensuing madness, one man does not give up the fight. This unknown general, alone and against the odds, makes his escape to London to hold on to and fight for the remnants of freedom in Europe.</div><div><br></div><div><i>De Gaulle: Résistance</i> is the first half of the biggest French film project in 2026, based on Julian Jackson's book <i>A Certain Idea of France: The Life of Charles De Gaulle</i> and receiving its premiere out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
