Indiewire called the first short film "one of the best films of 2015," while The Dissolve named it "one of the finest achievements in sci-fi in recent memory." The A.V. Club described it as "visionary" and "possibly the best film of 2015."</div></div><div><br></div><div>Hertzfeldt’s new animated short film, <i>Paper Trail</i>, is a 14-minute high-speed study of someone's life, seen only through pieces of paper.
