Divided into eight thematic chapters and an epilogue, the film moves at a dizzying pace through ads for everything from soft drinks and mobile phones to porn phone lines and privatisation schemes, revealing attitudes towards consumption, gender, work and desire. By dissecting the language and imagery of advertising, Eight Postcards from Utopia turns the glossy fantasy of consumer culture into a sharp, darkly comic portrait of Romania in transition.DocumentaryPT1H11MN/C 182026-10-24ROro
