Enzo

<div>16-year-old Enzo goes against the wishes of his upper-class family, forgoing the luxe life they had planned out for him in favour of starting an apprenticeship in masonry. Tensions begin to build in their beautiful sun-soaked villa in the South of France as non-stop questions and pressures pile up on top of Enzo's dreams and his own visions for the future. However, doors are opened to possibilities unexpected by Enzo as his world is rattled by Vlad, a charismatic Ukrainian co-worker on the construction sites.</div><div><br></div><div>Palme d'Or winning director Laurent Cantet unfortunately passed away before photography began on <i>Enzo</i>, having already completed the majority of casting for the picture. Long-term collaborator Robin Campillo, editor on six and co-writer of five of Cantet's films, ably stepped in to director what would be Cantet's final film - the credits note <i>Enzo</i>&nbsp;as "a film by Laurent Cantet, directed by Robin Campillo". Campillo himself says of the film "<i>Enzo</i> remains Laurent's film, it's his project, his vision of human conflicts. But I have to say that it was a pleasure to make his film, to produce this work between him and me. Especially as Gilles Marchand, another of Laurent's friends and collaborators, was there throughout the shoot".</div>DramaPT1H43M152026-06-05
