Film London Jarman Award 2026 | Screening and Q&A with Rhea Storr
<div>LUX Scotland, in partnership with Filmhouse, Edinburgh, is excited to host the <b>Film London Jarman Award</b> for the eighth year, presenting a screening of the shortlisted artists’ works and a <b>Q&A with shortlisted artist Rhea Storr</b>.</div><div><br></div><div>The artists shortlisted for the Film London Jarman Award 2026 are <b>Sadia Pineda Hameed</b>, <b>Ilona Sagar</b>, <b>Rhea Storr</b>, and <b>Alia Syed</b>.</div><div><br></div><div>Inspired by visionary British filmmaker Derek Jarman, the Award recognises and supports artists working with the moving image. The shortlisted artists illustrate the spirit of inventiveness within moving image, highlighting the breadth of creativity and craftsmanship the medium has to offer, as well as its powerful ability to engage and provoke audiences. The Award comes with a £10,000 prize.</div><div><br></div><div>The winner of the Film London Jarman Award will be announced on the 24 November 2026. The award is presented in partnership with the Whitechapel Gallery.</div><div>The tour runs from 22 September 2026 to 21 January 2027, in partnership with nine arts venues across the UK.</div><div><br></div><div><div><b>About the Jarman Award</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>The Film London Jarman Award is a prestigious annual prize which recognises and supports the most innovative UK-based artists working with moving image, and celebrates the spirit of experimentation, imagination and innovation in the work of emerging artist filmmakers. Launched in 2008 and inspired by visionary filmmaker Derek Jarman, the Jarman Award showcases artists' moving image to audiences throughout the UK and beyond through its annual touring programme.</div><div>Now in its eighteenth year, the Jarman Award has built an enviable reputation for celebrating the practices of ground-breaking artist filmmakers working in the UK.
