<i>Hamnet</i> is the poignant and powerful tale of love and loss that inspired William Shakespeare to write his classic tragedy, <i>Hamlet</i>. Directed by Academy Award-winner Chloé Zhao (<i>Nomadland</i>) who co-wrote the film with Maggie O'Farrell, author of the novel it is adapted from, the film features two more potential Oscar-winning performances from Irish actors Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal as Agnes (Anne in real life) Hathaway and William Shakespeare.
