Quentin Tarantino's modern classic love letter to 1970s exploitation and East Asian genre cinema, screened as it was intended - The Whole Bloody Affair, both Vol 1. and Vol. 2 of Kill Bill, on 35mm film. That's over four hours of high-intensity thrilling revenge action, or approximately 22,230 feet, 4.2 miles, or 6.8 miles of film for our amazing projection team to contend with each screening.
Fans have been waiting to see Tarantino's original vision for Kill Bill for almost 20 years, since its Cannes screening in 2006 and very limited showings at the director's own New Beverly Cinema and Vista Theatre in Los Angeles. Now the whole world can get a slice of the action, with extended never-before-seen animated sequences (including the back story of Lucy Liu's legendary character O-Ren Ishii, codenamed Cottonmouth), alternate dialogue for the most die-hard of Kill Bill fans to spot, and of course a 15-minute intermission to allow you to catch your breath - no pausing here, The Whole Bloody Affair will only be available to see in cinemas!
Uma Thurman is The Bride, the iconic yellow catsuit-clad retired assassin. Codenamed Black Mamba, The Bride has just awoken from a four-year coma, caused by her mentor and former partner Bill who shot her. She now seeks revenge against him and every member of his Deadly Viper Assassination Squad who betrayed her. Tarantino developed the character of The Bride with Thurman on the Pulp Fiction set, and wrote the script in the early 2000s while spending time with Thurman and her newborn daughter, who had a significant influence on the final product. You may know her as Maya Hawke...ActionPT4H7M182026-01-05
