Bloom soon discovers he has a flair for the job, and is seemingly immune to the moral dilemmas involved – but competition to capture the most gruesome image is fierce.</div><div><br></div><div><i>Nightcrawler</i>'s viral guerilla marketing campaign, including a fictional Craigslist video résumé and fake social media profiles for Lou Bloom, led to the film gaining a cult following prior to its release on October 31 2014 - 12 years and one day exactly before our Noirvember 2026 screening! Critics also came along for the ride, with the film receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay, and Gyllenhaal receiving Best Actor nods at the SAG Awards, BAFTAs and Golden Globes - with his lack of nomination at the Oscars still held as one of the most high-profile snubs in Academy Award history.</div>CrimePT1H57M152026-11-01USen
