Primavera
Despite being an extremely talented violin virtuoso, 20-year-old Cecilia's life is confined within the walls of the Pièta orphanage. She knows that marriage is her only way out into the world. However, things take a turn for her as she meets boundary-pushing genius composer Antonio Vivaldi after his appointment as the orphanage's violin teacher. With Vivaldi's guidance through his tutelage and music, Cecilia finds it within herself to rally against her once inevitable and unchangeable destiny. Based on Tiziano Scarpa's 2009 novel <i>Stabat Mater</i>, <i>Primavera</i> received its world premiere in the Special Presentations section of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, and went on to win the Audience Award for Best International Feature at the Chicago International Film Festival the month after, where it was screened in the Spotlight section.MusicPT1H51M152026-04-24Tecla Insolia
