Eighteen-year-old Marina, adopted at a very young age, travels to Vigo to meet her biological father's family for the first time. Here, her arrival brings back a past that had long been buried. Guided by her mother's diary and a special connection with her newfound cousin, Marina will discover family wounds and finally be able to relive the fragmented memory of parents she barely remembers. <i>Romería</i> competed for the Palme d'Or at its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, receiving much critical acclaim and being shortlisted for Spain's submission to Best International Feature at the 98th Academy Awards.
