Director Jang Joon-hwan was inspired to make the film after watching the late Rob Reiner's <i>Misery</i>, along with coming across a conspiracy website claiming that Leonardo DiCaprio was an alien set on taking over Earth by seducing all of its women... what we do know though is that the two things combined together birthed this madcap black comedy that spawned one of this year's great awards contenders.
