Brady Corbet's towering epic The Brutalist was a revelation for cinema in 2025, clocking in at a behemoth 3 hours and 35 minutes runtime and the first to have the majority of that runtime shot using the VistaVision process since 1961, with other favourites for the year Bugonia and One Battle After Another following its lead. The film was nominated for 169 awards, collecting 64 of them, including three Academy Awards and three Golden Globes. Many of these gongs were picked up by Adrien Brody for his transcendent lead performance as László Tóth, the fictional architect and Holocaust survivor who emigrates to the United States, yet struggles to achieve the American Dream alongside his wife (Felicity Jones) until a wealthy client (a chilling Guy Pearce) crosses their path.DramaPT3H35M182026-01-03
