Early booking advised as numbers are limited.<div><br></div><div>Occupying a place somewhere between the high-end transgressive cinema that includes <i>Themroc</i>, <i>La Grand Bouffe</i>, <i>Sweet Movie</i>, and <i>Salò</i>, and the naughty nun subgenre, <i>The Nun and The Devil</i>, <i>Flavia the Heretic</i>, <i>Killer Nun</i>, and <i>Behind Convent Walls</i>, <i>Ken Russell’s The Devils</i> is a typically exuberant, exasperating and, yep, sometimes exhausting work that really does turn the dial up to eleven. Made in the early 1970s, when simultaneously everything was possible, and yet censorship too often admissible, the film has over the years been seen in various cuts.
