In one of Hitchcock’s most celebrated partnerships with costume designer Edith Head, clothing and colour become psychological tools.</div><div><br></div><div>Kim Novak’s dual roles of Madeleine and Judy are defined by the costumes threaded with symbolic significance. From Madeleine’s ethereal grey suit to Judy’s green ensemble, they help shape a story of obsessive love and betrayal.</div><div><br></div><div>Caroline Young, author of <i>Fashioning Hitchcock</i>, will introduce the film with a discussion of how Hitchcock and Edith Head crafted the cinematic mood of <i>Vertigo</i>.
