From a programming perspective, little hit home harder during Filmhouse’s recent 33-month hiatus than not being able to take part in the BFI’s Powell & Pressburger retrospective of late 2023. This short season attempts to put that right (at least in part!) and offers a glimpse into this most unique of cinematic partnerships and their bold, subversive, inventive and romantic body of work.
