The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF) runs from 20 October to 9 November 2025, exploring the theme Comfort & Disturb.
Now in its 19th year, the Mental Health Foundation’s annual festival takes place across Scotland, with hundreds of events covering film, theatre, writing, music, visual arts, creative workshops and more.
It aims to provide a platform for everyone to create and share art inspired by mental health and our innovative approach combines high artistic quality with grassroots support, community engagement and social activism.
