Welcome to the 17th edition of Take One Action Film Festival!
At Take One Action, we know hope is something we must actively make together. In times of ever-escalating horrific violence and intersecting crises, the 17th edition of our festival welcomes you to explore the idea of ‘real utopias’ in community with us. Journeying across the UK, to Kenya, to rural Mexico, we’ll seek out the seeds of a more just and liberated future: from taking renewable energy into our own hands to celebrating world-making trans joy, decolonising a library to interrogating the false promises of AI, and paying tribute to radical histories right here in Scotland. This programme glimpses utopian futures already shimmering within reach – and roots into how we can nourish these futures right here in Edinburgh. A different world is possible, and we invite you to build it with us.
